French Angel Small Juvenile
Product Description
The juvenile French Angelfish is a jet-black fish with three yellow vertical bands on its body and its ventral fins are tipped with bright blue. The bright yellow bands fade with age. The French Angel is a very hardy Angelfish and is found around shallow reefs and reef rubble in the Atlantic. These fish do well in aquariums and prefer lots of rockwork to feel comfortable. The French Angel should be kept in a tank of 100 gallons or larger, so it'll have ample room to roam. They will spend most of their day grazing algae that grows on live rock. They should not be kept with other Angels and only one should be kept per tank.
The Angelfish family is a group of colorful and elegant fish that are adored by both the serious and casual observer. These fish are mainly available to the hobbyist under the Genus Pomacanthus and Centropyge. Pomacanthus Angels are the larger more robust species. The Centropyge Genus are made up of smaller fish that feed primarily on algae from the reef surface. The adult Pomacanthus Angels usually have long dorsal and anal fins and a rounded face. The Pomacanthus Angels will change color quite dramatically from their juvenile stage to adult stage. The Centropyge Angels are found predominantly in the Indo-Pacific while only a couple of species, like the Pygmy and Flameback Angels, are found in the Atlantic and Caribbean. At the same time, the Pomacanthus Angels dominate the Atlantic and Caribbean while in the Indo-Pacific they are less prominent. The Centropyge Angels do not change color dramatically from their juvenile stage to adult stage. These smaller Angels are often seen milling around reefs which they use for both shelter and as a food source. Angelfish are differentiated from Butterflyfish by the small spine that extends from the bottom of their rear gill cover. Care Level: Moderate Temperament: Bold Reef Safe: No Diet: Greens, Pellet, Flake Origin: Caribbean, Florida Acclimation Time: 3+ hours Minimum Tank Size: 100+ Coral Safe: No Invertebrate Safe: May nip at clams and worms

I just wanted to send in a note to thank Jeff in regards to his helping me find the right lighting for my tank. I have a custom, 60" tank in which I had been using standard, 48" light hoods from the local pet stores (i.e. Perfecto lights). I had initially gone onto http://www.jeffsaquaticlife.com/ to purchase a standard 48" T5 light fixture after one of my Perfecto light strips burned out (3rd one in 4 years). Thankfully, the light that I had chosen was out of stock. Jeff contacted me to get additional information regarding my tank setup and was able to design a retrofit lighting kit, including a moon light, for my tank for the same cost as the T5 fixture. He also helped me during the installation process to ensure that I had everything wired correctly! For the first time, light now reaches the corners of my tank.

Jeff no problem, using the light with two bulbs out, like I said if one goes out another also is out, but whoooo this light is nice, and this with two bulbs out.!!. Hey Jeff, I just wanted to give you big thanks for an exceptional experience!! I've been an aquarium hobbyist/enthusiast on and off for the past 13 years and recently decided to get back into it.
